Texas Man Named World’s Oldest Active Bus Driver at 95
WICHITA FALLS, Texas — November 24, 2025 — Raymond Hager, a 95-year-old man from Wichita Falls, Texas, has been officially recognized by Guinness World Records as the world’s oldest active bus driver. Hager, who has been driving city buses for 27 years, was verified by Guinness on May 13 at the age of 94 years and 176 days.
Hager began driving at age 14 and developed a preference for operating larger vehicles. He joined Falls Ride, the public transit system in Wichita Falls, nearly three decades ago. Initially planning to retire at 95, Hager now intends to continue driving as long as his health permits.
In honor of his achievement, the City of Wichita Falls declared November 18 as Raymond Hager Day. Hager expressed gratitude for the recognition, reflecting on his journey from a “little country boy” to holding a world record.
Officials confirmed the Guinness World Records verification and the city’s proclamation, highlighting Hager’s dedication and longevity in his profession.
