29 November 2025 Technology

NEW YORK — The Fox News Artificial Intelligence newsletter provided an update on recent advancements and challenges in AI technology, including methods to prevent Google’s AI from scanning users’ Gmail accounts.

On Nov. 5, Google announced that its Gemini Deep Research AI can now access context from Gmail, Drive, and Chat. This capability allows the AI to extract information from emails, attachments, and stored files to assist with research, raising privacy concerns among users. The newsletter offered guidance on how to stop Google AI from scanning email content.

In other developments, the Internal Revenue Service is reportedly implementing Salesforce AI agents across multiple divisions following a significant workforce reduction earlier this year. This move reflects a broader trend of integrating AI to enhance government operations.

A new study highlighted in the newsletter found that AI chatbots can be effective tools in countering antisemitic conspiracy theories. Researchers observed that brief interactions with chatbots designed to engage believers of such conspiracies led to measurable changes in their beliefs.

Additional topics covered include Archer Aviation’s acquisition of Hawthorne Airport for $126 million in cash as part of its electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft development, concerns over digital imposters exploiting app stores, and HP’s plan to reduce its workforce by 4,000 to 6,000 employees by 2028 amid AI adoption efforts.

Amazon Web Services also announced plans to build and deploy specialized AI and high-performance computing resources for the U.S. government, marking a significant step in public sector AI integration.

The newsletter underscores the rapid evolution of AI technologies and their growing impact across various sectors, while also addressing privacy and security challenges associated with these advancements.
