Austrian Beauty Influencer Stefanie Pieper Found Dead in Suitcase in Slovenian Forest

GRAZ, Austria — December 1, 2025 — Austrian beauty influencer Stefanie Pieper was found dead inside a suitcase in a forest in Slovenia after her ex-boyfriend allegedly confessed to strangling her, according to authorities.

The 31-year-old influencer, known for her makeup, fashion, and singing content on social media, went missing after returning home from a Christmas party on November 23, officials said. After the party, Pieper reportedly messaged a friend confirming she had arrived home safely but soon sent another message expressing concern that someone was in her stairwell.

Neighbors reported hearing arguing and allegedly saw Pieper’s ex-boyfriend in the building, according to local media outlets cited by People Magazine. When Pieper failed to respond to relatives and coworkers and did not show up for work, she was reported missing to the Styrian State Police.

The ex-boyfriend, also 31, was arrested in Slovenia near his burning car, which was found in a casino parking lot near the border, police said. Authorities noted they were initially unable to contact him. He was subsequently extradited to Austria and reportedly agreed to cooperate with investigators.

According to reports, the ex-boyfriend admitted to strangling Pieper, placing her body in a suitcase, and burying it in the forest. He then led authorities to the location of her remains. The Styrian State Police confirmed that two male relatives of the suspect have also been arrested in connection with the case.

The investigation remains ongoing as authorities continue to gather information surrounding the circumstances of Pieper’s death.
