Aaron Rodgers Acknowledges ‘Boo-Worthy’ Performance in Steelers’ Loss to Bills
PITTSBURGH, Pa. — December 1, 2025 — Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers admitted to a “boo-worthy performance” following the team’s 26-7 loss to the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, a defeat that drew vocal displeasure from fans at the stadium.
Rodgers, who was playing with a broken left wrist, struggled throughout the game and was briefly knocked out after sustaining a cut on the bridge of his nose during a hit by Bills defensive end Joey Bosa. The injury led to a fumble that Buffalo recovered and returned for a touchdown, contributing to the Bills’ 23 unanswered points.
The four-time NFL MVP completed 10 of 21 passes for 117 yards in the game. Afterward, Rodgers acknowledged the fans’ frustration, saying, “I totally understand the frustration. I’ve been booed on offense, even in Green Bay over the years. … That was a boo-worthy performance.”
He also noted the need for better communication with his receivers regarding route running and accepted responsibility for some of the missed throws.
The Steelers, now with a 6-6 record, saw their position in the AFC North tighten as the Baltimore Ravens hold a slight lead in the division. The team’s offensive struggles were reflected in their rankings, standing 15th in points scored and 27th in yards gained. Defensively, Pittsburgh ranks 20th in points allowed and 28th in yards allowed.
Head coach Mike Tomlin also addressed the crowd’s reaction, which included chants of “Fire Tomlin!” He expressed shared frustration, stating, “We didn’t do enough,” and indicated that he is reviewing all aspects of the team’s performance to find solutions.
The loss to Buffalo marked a challenging moment for the Steelers as they seek to improve their standing in the competitive AFC North division.
