Mayfield Tours of Spartanburg, South Carolina, recently organized a “Hallmark Movie Christmas Tour,” which attracted 53 participants, mostly women. The group traveled by bus between stops, watching heartwarming holiday movies along the way. Abby Rumfelt of Morganton, North Carolina, expressed her excitement after visiting Wethersfield: “It’s exciting — just to know that something was in a movie, and we actually get to see it visually.”
Travel experts emphasize that these quaint New England towns offer more than just movie nostalgia. Stacy Greenhut, a travel adviser at Travelmation in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, told Fox News Digital that many Hallmark fans visit multiple times a year to immerse themselves in the local culture. “These quaint towns give you the ability to slow down, breathe in some fresh air and fill your heart with joy — much like you feel when you watch these movies from home,” she said.
