British Hotel Unveils 25-Foot Christmas Tree Made of 100,000 Balloons
BIRMINGHAM, England — December 3, 2025 — A hotel in Birmingham has introduced a distinctive holiday decoration: a 25-foot-tall Christmas tree constructed from 100,000 balloons. The installation is located outside the Moor Hall Hotel and Spa in Sutton Coldfield.
The tree is protected by a transparent dome designed to prevent the balloons from popping or being blown away. Naomi Spencer, a balloon artist and owner of Balloon Color Blending, conceived the project as a fundraiser for local charities.
Each balloon on the tree can be sponsored for $3.30, while memorial balloons honoring lost loved ones are available for $13.19. Additionally, branded balloon baubles can be purchased for $165. Spencer noted that this scale of balloon Christmas tree has not been done before in the U.K.
“People don’t realize the scale of building a balloon Christmas tree,” Spencer told the Birmingham Mail. She added that the project involved a large team including engineers, blowers, and designers. The effort combined 100,000 biodegradable balloons with precision engineering and a custom globe to create the display.
The balloon Christmas tree aims to provide a festive attraction while raising funds for vital local charities.
