Federal Authorities Detain 10 Most Violent Illegal Immigrants in 2025 Amid Crackdown

WASHINGTON, D.C. — In a year marked by intensified immigration enforcement, federal authorities have arrested some of the most violent illegal immigrants in the United States, underscoring the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) focus on removing individuals with serious criminal histories. Among the ten most dangerous apprehended in 2025 are offenders involved in terrorism-inspired assaults, murder, and other violent crimes.

One of the most notorious cases involved Mohamed Sabry Soliman, an Egyptian national residing illegally in Colorado, who was charged with first-degree murder and assault after launching a Molotov cocktail attack at a pro-Israel event in Boulder. On June 1, Soliman allegedly hurled incendiary devices while shouting “Free Palestine!” injuring thirteen people and fatally wounding 82-year-old Karen Diamond. Authorities described the attack as terrorism-inspired violence. Soliman’s arrest followed a federal indictment detailing his possession of multiple Molotov cocktails and a flammable liquid sprayer. The Department of Homeland Security highlighted this case as emblematic of threats posed by violent illegal immigrants.

Just days later, in Los Angeles, Emiliano Garduno-Galvez was arrested for attempted murder after throwing a Molotov cocktail at law enforcement officers during anti-ICE riots. Garduno-Galvez, who had been previously deported, also has a criminal record including grand theft and driving under the influence. The incident was captured on video and disseminated by DHS on social media platforms.

Another alarming arrest was that of Gabriel Hurtado-Cariaco, a Venezuelan national and alleged member of the Tren de Aragua criminal organization, known for its violent activities. ICE agents apprehended Hurtado-Cariaco in Nebraska, further demonstrating the agency’s commitment to dismantling transnational criminal networks operating within U.S. borders. The Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency has prioritized such cases in its 2025 enforcement strategy.

Department officials, including DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin, have criticized media outlets for what they describe as “whitewashing” the severity of crimes committed by illegal immigrants. McLaughlin emphasized the risks faced daily by ICE officers and other law enforcement personnel in protecting communities from violent offenders.

Among the list of the ten most violent illegal immigrants arrested this year are individuals charged with heinous acts including strangulation, child predation, and even a beheading. These arrests come amid President Donald Trump’s administration’s aggressive immigration policies, which have led to the departure of over 2.5 million illegal aliens through deportations and voluntary departures.

While the crackdown has sparked debate nationwide, the federal government maintains that prioritizing violent criminals is essential for public safety. The U.S. Customs and Border Protection data reflect increased interdiction efforts, and the Department of Justice continues to prosecute violent offenders vigorously.

As the country approaches the new year, the administration’s enforcement actions signal a continued commitment to addressing illegal immigration with an emphasis on removing those who pose the greatest threats to American communities.
