Firefighters Rescue Eagle Stuck 70 Feet High in British Columbia Tree
BRACKENDALE, British Columbia — November 25, 2025 — Firefighters in British Columbia rescued a bald eagle that was found stuck about 70 feet up in a tree, officials said. Squamish Fire Rescue responded to a report of the eagle appearing to be impaled on a branch high in a tree in Brackendale. Using a ladder truck, rescuers reached the eagle, which was dangling by its wing. The firefighters carefully removed the bird from the branch and brought it down to the ground in a net. The bald eagle was then transported to the OWL Rehab Facility for assessment and treatment, according to authorities. The rescue was documented with photos and videos shared on social media by Squamish Fire Rescue.
