EUGENE, Ore. — The latest College Football Playoff (CFP) rankings released as the regular season approaches its final week showed only minor adjustments, with Oregon moving ahead of Ole Miss after a victory over USC, according to officials. Oregon climbed from No. 7 to No. 6, swapping places with Ole Miss, which was on a bye week. Another notable change saw Miami rise to No. 11, overtaking Utah after the Utes allowed 472 rushing yards in a narrow win against Kansas State.

The rankings remain largely stable as teams prepare for critical matchups in the coming days. Ohio State and Indiana are positioned to face off in what could be a No. 1 versus No. 2 Big Ten championship game, provided both teams win their respective rivalry games over the Thanksgiving weekend. Ohio State is set to play Michigan, which itself moved up three spots to No. 15, while Indiana will face Purdue.

In the Southeastern Conference, No. 10 Alabama will play at Auburn with a chance to secure a spot in the conference title game. Alabama’s opponent in the SEC championship would be Texas A&M if the Aggies defeat No. 16 Texas.

The CFP committee is scheduled to release two more sets of rankings, with the final update on Dec. 7 determining the 12-team playoff bracket that begins Dec. 19. The current top 12 teams include Ohio State, Indiana, Texas A&M, Georgia, Texas Tech, Oregon, Ole Miss, Oklahoma, Notre Dame, Alabama, Miami, and Tulane.

The rankings reflect the committee’s ongoing evaluation as teams vie for playoff positioning in the closing weeks of the college football season.
