Trump Announces Plan to Halt Immigration from ‘Third World’ Countries and Revoke Biden-Era Entries

WASHINGTON, D.C. — November 28, 2025 — Former President Donald Trump detailed a new immigration plan in a late-night post on Truth Social, promising a permanent halt to immigration from what he described as “Third World” countries and a rollback of admissions made during the Biden administration.

Trump’s so-called “reverse migration” agenda includes pausing all migration from nations he labels as “Third World,” revoking what he claimed were “millions” of entries authorized under President Joe Biden, and removing foreign nationals he considers public charges, security risks, or “non-compatible with Western Civilization.”

He argued that the U.S. immigration system has been overwhelmed and said his approach would allow it to “fully recover.” The plan also calls for ending federal benefits for noncitizens, denaturalizing migrants accused of undermining “domestic tranquility,” and expanding deportations.

The announcement came shortly after a shooting near the White House in Washington, D.C., where two National Guard members were targeted. One of the guardsmen, Sarah Beckstrom, 20, of West Virginia, died from her injuries, a fact Trump confirmed on Thursday. The other service member, Andrew Wolfe, 24, remains hospitalized and “fighting for his life,” according to officials.

The suspected gunman, Rahmanullah Lakanwal, 29, is also in serious condition. Lakanwal entered the United States legally in 2021 under humanitarian parole as part of the Biden administration’s Operation Allies Welcome, which followed the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan.

Trump concluded his social media post with a warning directed at those he said “hate, steal, murder, and destroy everything that America stands for,” stating, “You won’t be here for long!” He also extended Thanksgiving greetings to others.

The former president’s announcement reflects ongoing debates over immigration policy and national security, particularly in the wake of violent incidents involving service members in the nation’s capital.
